The Truth About Christmas

It is a time of year for celebration on Dec. 25. But what is all the celebration about. The Catholic encyclopedia 1911 edition, published by the Roman Catholic church states that,”Christmas was not among the earliest festivls of the church…the first evidence of the feast is from Egypt. Pagan customs centering around the Jan calends gravitated to christmas. It is general for christians to celebrate death of important people and not thier birth.”
Some may say Santa is coming to town, or it is Christ birthday, none of this is the true celebration for christmas. The true celebration is an extension of passed down pagan rituals, and myths.
Saint Nicholas was a Roman Catholic bishop of the 5 th century. Encyclopedia Britannica states that “Saint Nicholas, bishop at Myra, was honored by the Greeks and Latins on the 6 th day of december…”A legend of his bestowal of doweries on the tree daughters of an impoverished citizen, is said to have originated Santa’s existence. The old custom of giving presents in secret on the eve of St. Nic transferred to Christmas day. Santa stories of today evolved from celebrating this bishop over time.
The practices and rituals of this day were not made for Christ either. The Catholic Encyclopedia states, “sinners alone, not saints, celebrate their birthdays…”
So how can it be Christ birthday. The bible states in Luke 2:8 “there were in the same country shepards abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night,” when Christ was born. In Judea after Oct. 15 shepards bring flocks from the mountainsides and fields, to protect them from the cold, rainy, season the follows this date. Song of Solomon 2:11 and Ezra 10:9,13 in the bible states, winter was a rainy season not permitting shepards to abide in open feilds at night. These were ancient customs during the time Christ was alive. These scriptures clearly show us Christ was born before October 15, and all christams rituals were made before he existed so how can it be his birthday.
The true origin of christmas began with Nimrod, grandson of Ham son of Noah started the Babylonian system. This system of organized competition of man ruled governments and empires are based on a profit making economic system. Nimrod built the tower of Babel, the original Babylon, ancient Nineveh, and many other cities. He organized the worlds first kingdom. Many ancient writings show us that Nimrod started the great organized worldly apostasy from God that dominated this world until now. Nimrod was said to be so evil that he married his mother. Upon his death Nimrod’s wife propagated the evil doctrine of the survival of Nimrod as a spirit being. She said a full grown evergreen tree sprang up overnight from a dead stump. She said this symbolized the dead Nimrod going forth unto new life. On Dec 25 the annivesary of Nimrod’s birthday, his wife claimed he would visit the tree and leave gifts under it. This is the origin of the christmas tree.
Through his wifes scheming the couple became cheif objects of worship. This worship of mother and child spread all over the world. Thier names vary by country and language. In Egypt it was Isis and Osiris. In Asia it was Cybele and Deolus. In pagan Rome it was Fortuna and Jupiterpuer. Even in Greece, China, and Japan there are names. Tibet is found to be the counterpart of the Madonna, long before the birth of Christ.
All year long parents punish children for lying, but they tell the biggest lies ever. I can remember when I learned that Santa, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy, were all fake. It hurt and made me not trust my parents for a while. Most children who learn the truth about these myths, end up not believing in God when they grow up. We use mistletoe, holly berries, lights, candles, yule logs, and trees to celebrate Christmas. However, how many people know that these are all things used to worship in paganism. As the encyclopedia America, states they are all of pre- christian times. None of these rituals were made to celebrate Christ or Santa originally. Christians took the holiday as there own because they knew if they did not, the masses would not join thier religon. The pagan festivals and practices were too strongly imbeded in the world for it to be changed. All most like the saying if we can’t beat them lets join them. Years now people have no clue of why they actually celebrate the way they do on Dec. 25. If they did know would they still celebrate?
